I had an extra twin bed that I was in no way going to get rid of. I am always in the mindset that we need extra room for whom ever stays with us. The challenge was, …we really had no room for it. I am a big fan of daybeds. Fitting two beds in one without the room of a queen bed is ideal.
I had an extra twin and room in our living room, so I decided to make a bench out of it. It couldn’t have turned out better. I only wish I took picture of the making of the bed. I used wood for the frame, and furniture feet to give it an upscale appearance. Using heavy drop cloth I made a slip cover with wide box pleats to give it some designer appeal.
This bed has come in handy many mornings! I don’t regret the decision of getting rid of our center table what so ever. I am really loving this new piece.
